Frequently Asked Questions
When should I have a trial?
You should have your trial 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding day.
What happens at the trial?
We will discuss all the relevant details of your wedding, your dress, flowers, bridesmaid’s dresses, themes etc. . We can then discuss ideas between us and then I will try out a look on you. Tweaks can then be made until you are 100% happy with your final look. I will take photos of you at the trial and make notes of the makeup used. I would normally allow 2 hours for your Make-up & Hair trial. Should any of your bridal party require a Make-up & Hair trial, please allow an hour for each person.
What happens on my Wedding day?
Prior to the day, we will have discussed the time of the wedding and arranged individual make-up times for when each person. The bride is made up last to ensure that makeup is fresh for the ceremony. Make-up tends to be applied after the hair has been styled.
How much will it cost and when do I pay for your service?
The total cost will depend on how many people are being made up and if any extra travel expenses occur. This will all be calculated prior to your trial and wedding day. Payment for the trial is to be made on the day of the trial. Your wedding date will be booked in and a deposit of £40 will be required to secure your booking. This will be deducted from the outstanding amount which is due on your wedding day. You can pay by cheque or cash. I do not accept credit cards.
What happens if you or I cancel?
In the extremely unlikely event that I am not able to make your wedding date due to illness or other emergency, I will substitute another equally experienced artist for you, who will have been briefed on your wedding make up. If I am unable to find a replacement artist, I will provide a full refund.
If you are cancelling a trial appointment, you will not incur any charges. If you are cancelling your wedding make up, your deposit will be lost. If you cancel your wedding make up three weeks before the wedding date, 75% of the total cost will be payable.
What Make-up products do you use?
I use a wide range of products, ranging from, Mac, Lancome, Clinique, Yves Saint Laurent, Urban Decay, Benefit, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, Dermalogica, etc. I use Temptu foundations they are airbrush bases, however it is not a problem should you want to use your own foundation instead.
My huge range of make-up brushes are sable and synthetic hair, they are cleaned using a professional Make-up brush cleaner, making them 100% sterile. I clean them between each individual make up to ensure there is never any cross contamination.
Why do you airbrush foundation?
Airbrushing foundation is fantastic. It makes your skin appear flawless and as the foundation is silicone based it stays all day rather than sinking in to your skin. Having used it on actresses who are filming all day long, it is tried and tested, staying perfect all day. You’ll love it. I’m sure!
Do you sell any of the make-up you use?
No I don’t, however, I can advise you of where to get the products from so you could buy a particular lipgloss for your day should you want to.
What areas do you cover?
I am based in Northwich. Anywhere within a 20 mile return journey is included in the cost. Any further distance is charged at 40p per mile. I am willing to travel to you but just be aware that these extra costs will be added to your invoice.
